About the readers:
YURIY TARNAWSKY is a cofounder of the
avant-garde group of Ukrainian émigré authors
The New York Group and of the collaborative of
innovative US writers Fiction Collective/FC2. He
has authored some three dozen books of poetry,
fiction, drama, and essays. His English language
books include the poetry collections This is How
I Get Well and Modus Tollens, the novels
Meningitis and Three Blondes and Death, the
collections of stories Short Tails and Crocodile
Smiles, as well as The Placebo Effect Trilogy,
consisting of the collections of mininovels Like
Blood in Water, The Future of Giraffes, and View
of Delft. His play Not Medea was staged at
Mabou Mines in a special laboratory production.
He is also a co-translator into English of the full
corpus of Ukrainian epic poetry Dumy, published
by Harvard University. For his contribution to
Ukrainian literature, he was awarded Order of
Merit of Prince Yaroslav the Wise by the
Ukrainian Government. Claim to Oblivion, a
collection of his essays and interviews in English
is scheduled to appear this fall.
JOSEPH RIIPPI has written some books:
Research: A Novel for Performance, Because, A
Cloth House, The Orange Suitcase, and Do
Something! Do Something! Do Something! Also
two chapbooks, one called Puyallup,
Washington (an interrogation) and
another called Treesisters. He and his wife live
in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
JOE PAN is the author of two collections of
poetry, Autobiomythography & Gallery (BAP)
and Hiccups (Augury Books). He is the editor-inchief
and publisher of Brooklyn Arts Press,
serves as the poetry editor for the arts magazine
Hyperallergic and small press editor for Boog
City, and is the founder of the services-oriented
activist group Brooklyn Artists Helping. His piece
“Ode to the MQ-9 Reaper,” a hybrid work about
drones, was excerpted and praised in The New
York Times. In 2015, Joe participated in the
Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s Process
Space artist residency program on Governors
Island. Joe attended the Iowa Writers’
Workshop, grew up along the Space Coast of
Florida, and now lives in Brooklyn.
CECILY IDDINGS Cecily Iddings’ first book is
Everyone Here (Octopus Books, 2014). Her new
chapbook, Is To: As: Is To:, was just published
by Spooky Girlfriend Press, and her poems have
recently appeared in Atlas Review, the Heir
Apparent at the Volta, Prelude, and Sixth Finch.
She lives in Brooklyn.
